Nautical - Accessories - Bronze Lounge Porthole Mirror

The luxury window of the upper deck stateroom, now a mirror. My great uncle Ronald wanted to be a ship’s captain all his life, but his penchant for seasickness, in combination with my formidable Auntie Jessica, made him lower his anchor on a huge sheep farm somewhere in the middle of a parched but immense corner of the subcontinent of Australia. After the discovery of gold and uranium on his land, Uncle Ronald at last was able to realize his every whim. He immediately set about to construct the superstructure of a Victorian steamer in his backyard, complete with smoke stack and wheelhouse. His preferred suit became white slacks and jackets, gold braided of course, and he wandered around his dry land bridge with a spyglass under his arm, looking out over his land, which was so hot at times that true Fata Morganas occurred as in travel tales of old. Call it fact after fiction or fiction after fact, but Uncle did have the pleasure of looking out over a vast expanse of shimmering water, but only on the hottest days. Uncle Ronald collected portholes, and was somewhat offended when Aunt Jessica refused to have all the panorama windows of the main house exchanged for heavy brass stateroom portholes.
